Rose Morris's son Abram learned to climb out of his crib far earlier than his parents were prepared for. He seemed to delight in getting out with a talent for escape that was beyond his young age. His autism contributed to sleeping issues, night-wandering, and irrational temper meltdowns that made his parents frightened for his safety. Despite lots of searching, Rose couldn't find a safe enclosed bed for her son that was portable, adaptable to his growing needs, and...well, Abram-proof!

She sat down with her husband and a friend and looked at what was already working for their family. They needed the portability of a Pack-and-Play, with the safety and protection of a crib-tent, and the durability to stand up to a rambunctious and clever growing boy. After several prototypes, Rose and her team built the first The Safety Sleeper®.

That initial innovation was the birth of her company, Abram’s Nation. By the time he was two and a half years old, Abram was tucked in to The Safety Sleeper® every night. He looked forward to his special sleep place, and learned to calm himself enough at night to sleep on his own. Once he turned 6, he was able to choose to sleep with the door open or closed.

The Safety Sleeper® is an enclosed bed system designed to keep a child safe inside. Our fabric is medical grade and our lightweight aluminum frame is incredibly strong. Every aspect of our design is intended to keep your loved one safe.

Now Rose, along with her team of experts, continues to develop new lines of products that help and support the daily activities of special needs families. We are excited that you are here and are available to answer any questions you may have.
