Say Hello to our July Pay-It-Forward Winner, Danielle!

We are honored to introduce our July Pay-It-Forward winner, Danielle, from Long Island, New York! Danielle’s daughter has a rare genetic condition called Sanfilippo syndrome, which is a degenerative disease affecting multiple systems. As the disease progresses, children lose skills they learned previously, such as the ability to speak, walk and eat. As our July Pay-It-Forward winner, Danielle is receiving our Fidget Folder to help her daughter learn new skills and maintain existing ones. With tools focused on dressing, communication, motor sensory and tactile skills, we’re excited to see what Danielle and her daughter can accomplish together!

Danielle was nominated for our Pay-It-Forward program by Brandi, her friend and fellow Sanfilippo warrior mom. Brandi says Danielle works non-stop helping families understand and navigate the disease, answering questions anytime day or night by phone, email, text or in Facebook groups. Danielle also serves as an officer for Team Sanfilippo, a nonprofit medical research foundation that is funding clinical trials of potential therapies.
